Senior Virtual Teahouse
One Gathering Per Week
Based in Toronto, and serving Chinese-speaking people from all over the world. The Senior Virtual Teahouse was founded in June 2020. It is a community project founded by Professor Zhang, Weiguo from the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto in response to the COVID-19 epidemic. Every Wednesday afternoon, people from the community are invited to participate in seminars and lectures by guest speakers.
Senior Virtual Teahouse provides an independent and transparent online platform where Chinese elders, service providers, research institutions, policy makers, and other stakeholders can discuss topics and issues closely related to immigrant elderly in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere.
Time: Every Wednesday from 3:00pm to 4:30pm
Web meetup link: https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/3363363339 (Zoom ID 3363363339) No password required.
Elders and all family members and friends who care about the elderly are welcome to join! Feel free to bring your own refreshments and chat comfortably.
